Who We Are and What We Do:

Brooklyn Kids Crafts is a Brooklyn-based boutique art program for children ages 5+. With a background in fashion design and a passion for all things hand-made, I created Brooklyn Kids Crafts to help empower kids to engage in the creative process. I've lead camps, workshops, classes, and birthday parties all over Brooklyn and am always looking to bring the joy of crafting to more kids! Whether you're looking for an enriching summer or school break experience for your creative little one, you want to throw your child the best birthday party ever, or you want to bring an engaging and unique after school program to your school, Brooklyn Kids Crafts is the place for you!

Testimonials

My daughter had the best time at “Ha’Sadnah”. Jordyn and Reut went above and beyond with the kids and they learned so many new art techniques in a warm, supportive and empowering environment.
The final projects were incredible! I highly recommend this camp.

“Ha’sadnah” camp was fun. I did a lot of new things like weaving and sewing. One ☝️ of my favorite activities was making a donut pillow 🍩 Jordyn and Reut taught a lot of activities I had not done before. I made a keychain which was Cool.

Tali had her best birthday party ever with Jordyn Jacobs! First of all- Jordyn went above and beyond and added an element of customization that made the party really personable and special and made my daughter feel like she was surrounded by all her favorites things. Jordyn came early, set everything up and made the most beautiful handmade crown, which made Tali feel like she was a queen! She thought of everything- every single detail and was so patient with the girls. I didn’t have to do a thing, but enjoy the party!

I highly recommend Jordyn for any art/DIY party! She is absolutely amazing and is a gifted and talented artist and also incredibly thoughtful and kind. Your child will be so happy!

About Me

MY NAME IS jordyn

I have my Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design from Shenkar College of Design, Israel's leading design institution. Upon moving to New York City, I immediately began working in the fashion industry as a designer for world-renowned American fashion designer, Anna Sui. After gaining industry experience, I made the choice to take a leap of faith and launch my own line of handmade handbags and accessories, inspired by and incorporating my love for hand-woven textiles from around the world. As a way to pay the rent while building my brand, I took on a few teaching jobs and quickly came to understand that the true magic lies in combining these two passions. Since 2016, I have been teaching summer art programs, running camps and private workshops, and creating customized birthday craft activities for children all over Brooklyn. Knitting, sewing, embroidering, and creating all things with my own two hands has been therapeutic to me for as long as I can remember and I am passionate about passing on these important skills to the next generation.  In the age of excessive screen time, perfectionism, and high-achievement, I believe that art is a powerful tool to teach kids that any "mistake" can be turned into something beautiful and meaningful and most importantly, can help them to grow and learn.
